The origins of Kinbaku Love, the artist
Mr. Rey Ropes & his lover Lana Saent
- Mr. Rey Ropes -
I'm Mr. Rey Ropes and I'm an artist and performer in the art of Kinbaku that is also known as Shibari, which is the Art of Japanese Rope Bondage - a consensual erotic art form originating from the ancient martial art of Hojojutsu. I started my rope bondage practice learning this sensual art form under the expert guidance and tutelage of many great local and internationally known rope artists from around the world since 2015, although I have been self-teaching myself rope and experimenting since 2013. I am based in the San Francisco Bay Area and work mostly out of Oakland, I also shoot photography and film, this is my portfolio that will showcase my works.
- Lana Saent -
I am Lana Saent & I have been bottoming since 2013 sharing the love of Japanese Rope Bondage with my partner in life, Mr. Rey Ropes.
To me, Shibari means; trust, loyalty, love & protection. It is a sensual art form symbolizing connection between two or more people. Practicing Kinbaku has been a roller coaster ride that has become a breathtaking (literally) lifestyle & a non-stop flight to tight binding love.
- Kinbaku Love -
Kinbaku Love is the love child of my partner in life Lana Saent and I, we found an expressive performing art form that was both beautiful and technically challenging, which pushed my photography art skills to its current level and kept my mind sharp and well connected to my partner(s), Kinbaku Love started as a partnership and has turned into a lifestyle, Kinbaku Love is a mindset where tying means to have love in the process, whether it is two lovers sharing a connective experience or two friends who share love for the art and it's beautiful results, this portfolio will share our adventures and the beautiful awesome people that we meet along the way!
